Newly-crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich warmed up for Wednesday night's Champions League semi-final second leg tie with Barcelona by beating Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Just days after thrashing Barca 4-0 in the first leg of their semi-final tie, Bayern made it 20 wins from 21 games in all competitions since the turn of the year, beating Freiburg 1-0.
Bayern went into Saturday's game having scored a staggering 20 goals in their last four games, and although they failed to match those goalscoring exploits, a first-half goal from Xherdan Shaqiri was enough to hand them all three points.
Jupp Heynckes’ side will now turn their attention to Wednesday night’s second leg at Camp Nou, and it would be a huge shock if they are not one of the sides featuring in next month’s final at Wembley Stadium.
